Friends in Thought

While working as a barista at a neighborhood coffee shop it was fun to get to know some of the locals.  There was an unspoken ease between them as three friends shared a pot of tea.  They never seemed to take themselves too seriously as one friend is reading the comics, the other is in deep contemplation about something, and one is catching up on the daily news.  Along with the pot of tea, I always knew to include three paper cups and a cookie that they would all split while enjoying the afternoon together.
