Highgate, London

Highgate represents a special time that I spent in London.  I had a rare and wonderful opportunity to live and work alongside two professional oil painters who became mentors and close friends.  It was here that I learned the classical techniques of the Old Masters—how to build transparent and opaque layers of paint to create paintings with great richness and depth.  These years were filled with travel, sketchbooks, and long conversations with lifelong friends.
