Just Passing Through

Just off of Point no Point Lighthouse, I heard the unmistakable “puff” of air from a humpback whale.  I have only ever seen them in the Pacific Ocean, so spotting one here was a rare and unexpected surprise.  I watched as it surfaced briefly, with Mt. Baker in the distance, before continuing on its way toward deeper waters.
