Mother and Child, Peru

During a trip to South America, near the Colca Canyon in southern Peru, I was captivated by this woman selling her crafts along the roadside.  I was struck by the way the light hit her face and wrapped around her child who seemed content to go along for the ride.  I wanted to capture the everyday life and living of this Peruvian woman—the warm light, the beautiful colors, and the terraced hillsides that surrounded them.
